Es en los tres primeros años de vida de todo individuo cuando se genera el mayor desarrollo intelectual, emocional y psicomotriz. Los espacios de formación preescolar, junto con los hogares, se convierten en los espacios más importantes para la construcción de cada uno de nosotros.

Rodeado por un entorno adverso de ciudad y naturaleza, el proyecto se aísla de la “realidad” con muros de la piedra misma del sitio. Tras el umbral de los muros y alrededor de un patio central, los espacios intencionalmente abstractos sugieren la posibilidad de múltiples lecturas donde los niños puedan construir sus primeros mundos fantásticos. El gran ventanal y el resto de las conexiones con el exterior suceden únicamente en los espacios utilizados por adultos.

The first three years of life are when the greatest intellectual, emotional, and psychomotor development occurs. Alongside the home, preschool learning environments become the most important spaces in the formation of each individual.

Surrounded by an adverse urban and natural context, the project withdraws from “reality” through walls built with stone sourced directly from the site. Beyond this threshold, and organized around a central courtyard, intentionally abstract spaces suggest the possibility of multiple interpretations, allowing children to construct their first imaginary worlds. The large glazed opening and all other connections to the exterior occur exclusively within spaces used by adults.
